In a bizarre partnership that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
